About us - Kalaripayattu Class

Kalari Manoeuvre is a registered trust in Bangalore and a member of International Dance Council, UNESCO, Paris. Our vision is to serve and educate the passionate aspirants in Kalaripayattu – the Ancient Martial Arts. Kalari Manoeuvre is formulated with a mission to let the people realize and reap the benefits of practicing these art forms, nurture the hidden talents by engaging in teaching, conducting awareness programs and performances. Kalari Manoeuvre conducts regular Kalaripayattu classes and workshops for students in India and abroad.

Ramu Madanan

Founder & Instructor

Ramu Madanan is a passionate Kalaripayattu Artist and a Lawyer on the professional front. Hailing from Kerala, he has been influenced by the world of Kalaripayattu from the childhood. Experienced for about 18 years, he has had the opportunity to showcase the ancient art to the contemporary society. Performed over 150 stages at National & International platforms, two times Kalaripayattu National Champion representing state of Karnataka, Ramu was honoured Bangalore Youth Award for outstanding contributions to Kalaripayattu in the year 2014 by the Govt of Karnataka. Chethna

Founder & Instructor

Chethna is a committed Kalaripayattu Artist and an Architect by profession. Trained for about 10 years, she had the privilege to perform Kalari at National & International stages. Chethna has won the Kalaripayattu National Championship twice in the year 2015 and 2016 for the state of Karnataka. She has represented India in the International Arts Festival in Moscow, organized by the Cultural Ministry of Russia in the year 2016. Demonstrated Kalaripayattu for TV5 French Channel Documentary on Kalari, and other channels like TV9, Times, News 9 etc. She has also worked for Kalari Margam, a pictorial book released by Kalari Gurukulam in the year 2014. For her, Kalari is a way of life, she wishes that all women folk of our society practice Kalaripayattu.
